Physiotherapy with Lisa Carr -registered physiotherapist and exercise rehabilitation specialist
Lisa has an interest in non-operative and preventative therapy she consults to people who require early intervention for injuries or those who have chronic conditions. Assessment is the key to a successful program and she will identify and address your main concerns and work with you to compile a comprehensive program for these issues. She will provide you with videos and regular assessment to ensure you are meeting your goals and rehabilitation targets.
Lisa consults to as well as provides private exercise therapy to the older population groups for balance, falls prevention osteoporosis and to address neurological conditions.
Lisa assists Pre and postmenopausal and women seeking advice and guided exercise for pain associated with menopause and decreased bone density.
Other Areas of interest include shoulder dysfunction and knee pain, chronic pain and postoperative rehabilitation
Our rehabilitation clients/patients are assessed and then supervised through their exercise programs as well as provided with home programs to assist them to become independent at home or in their own gym.
We also provide exercise rehabilitation with our certified rehabilitation trainers.
The exercise professionals at MPE have a proud history of working with both junior and adult athletes and have a proven track record of success with amateur and professional sportsmen. Programs are customised according to thorough bio mechanical analysis of the particular sport or activity concentrating on teaching techniques that ensure a boost in performance. Explosive weight lifting , plyometrics and agility work are key elements that are addressed, all the while making sure training is periodised according to the athletes seasonal goals. Sports include golf, tennis, soccer, martial arts, rowing ,rugby and footy.
