Mark is the founder and owner of Melbourne Private exercise. He graduated from the University of South Africa in 1984 with a degree in human movement studies. In 1991 he became the first South African to graduate as a strength and conditioning specialist from the world renowned NSCA. Over the past 35 years Mark has trained Olympic gold medallist swimmers, bronze medallist rowers as well as numerous other elite professional sportsman. He has stayed on the cutting edge of the fitness industry, attending multiple international conferences and in turn has lectured and presented at multiple sport and fitness conventions. Marks resolute belief in the power of exercise to add longevity and quality to life is at the forefront of his success as a trainer. His specialisation in the area of rehabilitation culminated in his consultancy to the late president Nelson Mandela. As a national champion in both Karate and bodybuilding he understands the need for discipline on the journey to wellness all the while being mindful that exercise should be enjoyable. With 40 years of experience as a fitness professional Mark has a unique ability to teach and train people from all walks of life.
